So once a blog has been posted, what is next? You want a lot of people to read it but how do you make it available to all of them? The trick is to make it very easy for your current readers to share it on all of their social networks. By using plugins, such as CoSchedule or Social Warfare, you can set up your posts with all of the necessary data to make it easy for readers to share your stuff. Here are some specific to social media tips for making your blog posts as accessible as possible:

  • Add a “Click to Tweet” button. This makes it super easy for your readers to tweet your blog post to all of their followers with a simple click. Now your readers do not have to worry about being creative but can share your post with a generic tweet that you came up with, for them.

  • Put at least one graphic somewhere in your post. Not only will this make your blog look more interesting but a graphic also adds a “pinnable” feature. Now readers can pin your post to their Pinterest, through the graphic.

  • Share on Facebook. Nowadays, people post links to articles, videos, news, blogs, etc. on Facebook all of the time. Get your friends to share the link on their Facebook pages as well to reach out to the most people.

  • Use #hashtags. People can search specific hashtags and find stuff through that on Twitter, Instagram, Tumblr, and probably more. Use generic phrases and do not be afraid to use a few in one post. Make them relevant but also have fun with it.

  • Post on LinkedIn. The Pulse is a great feature to share, like, comment, etc. on articles people post. Through the degrees of connection, more and more people have the opportunity of being exposed to your article as well.
