#MCM: Bill Gates

Our #mcm this week is the one and only Bill Gates! Bill Gates is a household name and many people recognize him as one of the wealthiest people in the world. Gates first started out as the co-creator and eventual chairman, CEO, and chief software architect of immensely successful, Microsoft Corporation. Microsoft has been and continues to be an influential and popular player in the computer software, hardware, operating systems, etc. industry. Founded 40 years ago, Bill Gates has invested much of his time and energy in building Microsoft to the booming corporation it is today. Apart from his enormous career success, Bill Gates is also quite the philanthropist. He uses his wealth to better the lives of others on a national and global level. The “Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation” works to provide better healthcare options to people around the world as well as work to improve the lives of those living in severe poverty. On a national level, the foundation provides more educational opportunities for children and adults to learn more about information technology. Bill Gates’ selfless and successful work betters our community in more ways than one, which is why he deserves to be our #mcm!
