Mallory Davis has deep roots in Georgia, but bravely uprooted herself to move to Texas -- where she knew no one -- to become a Market Manager for Whirlpool USA. From Student Government President President at UGA to the world's leading global manufacturer of home appliances, our #WCW is really making waves.

1. What's your story? What makes you unique?

I am from the most rooted family you'll ever meet. My family is in the original census of Gwinnett County, Georgia where they still reside. Not sure if it makes me unique, but my story is currently trying to find my identity in a place so far from my hometown.
2. What motivates you?
Inspiring others. Outside of work, I am extremely passionate about running, triathlon, hiking, you name it. I find it wildly satisfying when someone who "hates to run" or "hates being outside," finds joy in any of these activities. I hold the job I hold in order to be able to get away to places like Colorado and new pieces of Georgia so I can enjoy nature.
3. Who is a hero of yours?
While there are many, the first person that comes to mind is my sister. She recently had her second child and manages to find the balance of giving her first child the love he needs all while nurturing her new baby girl. People have children all the time but there's something about seeing my sister being a parent (twice) that makes me so proud.

4. What's your future plan? Your goals?
Great question! I currently work for Whirlpool appliances where I am completely filled in the sense of community, challenge, and pride of work. A big goal of mine would be owning my own business (just as my mother does in our small hometown of Lawrenceville, Georgia). Something in the health industry. Aside from my professional life is to travel. I have major wanderlust but unfortunately not a lot of time to wander.
5. If you could give one piece of advice, what would it be?
If you're comfortable, you're doing things wrong. Continuously push yourself to be uncomfortable and grow. You'll thank yourself!

6. What is something you feel strongly about (a cause, belief, etc.)?
If you've made it this far you recognize I'm passionate about personal health and wellness. Rather it be walking your neighborhood or completing an Ironman, I hope people find something active to do and enjoy. This country is plagued with sedentary lifestyles; it's a goal of mine to impact people of all fitness levels to go outside their comfort zones and try something new!

7. What's one of the coolest things you've ever done?
Definitely scuba diving in Puerto Rico. I'm terrified of water so... you can only imagine. I ended up LOVING it down there!
8. Anything we haven't asked that you'd like to talk about.

Moving is tough. Especially when you move some place you know no one. I've been
through a lot in my short 24 year life, but moving to Texas has by far been the most challenging. Through this, I have met some of the most incredible people, seen the most amazing things, and eaten the best tacos on Earth. I'm at a point now where I can say, Texas... you're alright by me, but I'll always be a Peach at heart!
