Hello from Charlotte, NC! I'm Meredith Dean, the Studio Coordinator and On-Air Personality for Ryan Seacrest Studios and the CEO/Founder of The Dean's List. When wearing my entertainment industry hat, I create programming that includes game shows, celebrity interviews, and performances at Levine Children's Hospital. Thanks to the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, patients at LCH have the ability to explore the creative realms of radio, television, and new media right from their hospital rooms. As a female entrepreneur, I started my own digital marketing company in 2015 which builds custom online portfolios and digital brands for individuals and businesses. The Dean's List mission is to help young professionals in a very competitive job market, empower women, and to bring client's stories to life in a digital format -- a combination of all of my passions.

 

Before the Queen City, I moved up to the Big Apple shortly after graduation from The University of Georgia to work at Inside Edition, television's longest-running, top-rated, and most-honored syndicated newsmagazine, as Deborah Norville's Executive Assistant. I was exposed to various parts of the broadcast industry including interviews at the Today Show, Wendy Williams, and Dr. Oz, social media management for her 40,000+ followers, web design for her personal website, and research/production assistance. Nothing makes you grow faster in your career (and personally) like a first job in New York City!

 

I always make the best of every opportunity while trying to touch the lives of every person I meet along the way--a core belief that has been instilled in me since I was a child. My family's nonprofit, Habitat Aid Initiative, has been dedicated to alleviating poverty since 2003 via building girls' schools, wells, and clinics in the Western Province, Kenya. A portion of the profits from my company The Dean's List goes to empowering women and providing sustainable solutions for the disenfranchised living in the Khwisero District of Western Kenya. Another example of my passion for empowering others was at 16 years old in my hometown of Alpharetta, Georgia. I fundraised over $26,000 for a terminally ill faculty member at Milton High School, fueling my desire to help others and rally people together for important causes. 

 

Since then, I have lived and interned in France at Terre des Langues, traveled to 5 continents, and worked with journalists from over the world at Inside Edition, Viacom, CNN, CBS, FOX, NBC, and their affiliates. All of my career paths have several common denominators: meeting diverse people, learning about international cultures, traveling, storytelling, technology, philanthropy, and new media. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Digital and Broadcast Journalism from UGA's Grady College, a minor in French, and certification in New Media Studies and Business Professionalism-all while staying extremely involved and keeping over a 3.6 GPA at UGA. Additionally, I have a passion for helping young professionals in a very competitive job market by building their digital brand & custom online portfolios via my own business, The Dean's List. A portion of the profits from TDL help empower women and provide sustainable solutions for the disenfranchised living in the Khwisero District of Western Kenya. 

 

Born on the Fourth of July in Atlanta, Georgia, I'm proud to be an American who loves skiing, dancing, singing, traveling, speaking French, and fireworks.
